3 Steps Guide to Installation of GPS Vehicle Tracking System in Your Car

A vehicle tracking system is a very useful device that can help you track your moving or parked vehicles using GPS Vehicle Tracking System. Most vehicles either for personal or for private ventures have included this tracking system in their vehicles. This system provides a number of benefits.
This tracker is also helpful for tracking any lost vehicle. Of course, the vehicle must have a GPS support with a power source so that, even if it gets destroyed the last location is at least updated on the internet. Tracking and sensor monitoring your vehicle will help you stay relaxed about your moving vehicles. No matter where they are, you can easily spot them. So how do you install this device in your vehicle? Here is a there step guide for helping you to set up the tracking system easily in your car:

Step 1:

Check Your Dashboard for a box with a removable cover

    • Unscrew this box with the help of a screwdriver.
    • This is the place where the GPS Vehicle tracking system will be installed.
    • Once you removed it you need to look for two different wires.
    • One is the wire for ignition and the other wire is the one providing constant power.
    • If you don’t find, look near the ignition switch down below.
    • The two wires are actually connected to the ignition switch below.
    • Refer to the wiring diagrams of the car or use a voltage meter to check if you have found the right wires.

Step 2:

Connecting your device to the power source and hardwiring it

    • Firstly make sure you are using the right wire cutter to exclude the small portion of the insulations.
    • This is more important because if you cut the wrong wire you may end up losing your dashboard stereo permanently.
    • Connect the end of the red wire of your GPS device with the constant power wire.
    • Secure any wobbly wire with an electrical strip.

Step 3:

Fix your dashboard back in place

    • Re-fix the dashboard in its place carefully.
    • If it is loose it won’t work.
    • GPS sensor monitoring signals do not pass through metals, therefore, don’t place any wire on the steering section.
    • Always keep the tracking unit upwards.

Follow these three easy steps to install a GPS device. If you are still unsure about the process consult your mechanic who can assist you in the installation process.
